如果是表示对人对己要求很严格，很苛刻可以使用be hard on sb，地道口语中一般不使用我们学的be strict with sb 哦。
I know I didn't do well on the exam, but I didn't expect my dad to be so hard on me about it.

Don't be hard on Tessa—she's such a sensitive kid.
别对Tessa那么严厉，她是一个很敏感的孩子。
如果想表达让某人为难，处于两难的境地，可以使用put sb in a difficult position。
You are putting me in a very difficult position.

I am sorry to put you in that position.
