空山不见人,但闻人语响。
返景入深林,复照青苔上。
王维(701-761,一说699-761),字摩诘,号摩诘居士。河东蒲州(今山西运城)人,祖籍山西祁县。唐朝诗人、画家,与孟浩然合称“王孟”,有“诗佛”之称。著有《王右丞集》《画学秘诀》,存诗约400首。
WANG Wei (701-761 or 699-761),styled Vimalakirti and dubbed Vimalakirti Buddhist. He was a native of Puzhou, Hedong County (present-day Yuncheng, Shanxi Province), whose ancestral home was Qixian County, Shanxi Province. Wang, a poet and painter in the Tang dynasty, and Meng Haoran have been known as “Wang-Meng Duet”. Wang was praised as “Buddha of Poetry”, about 400 poems of his extant.
