Should We Embrace Indoorsy Lifestyle?
With the globalization of modern technology, especially the world-wide access to Internet service, people’s lifestyle has been greatly influenced. Some enjoy indoorsy lifestyle. They hold that indoorsy lifestyle is time-saving and peaceful. In contrast, those against the idea claim that keep an indoorsy lifestyle will do harm to people both psychologically and physically.
As far as I am concerned, modern technology is a double-edged sword. If we consider it as a useful tool to improve our life, it will certainly bring unprecedented convenience to us. With the assistance of the Internet, one can save his time through working, shopping, or communicating with others at home. Also, solitude isn’t always equal to loneliness. Free from outside interruption, one can be creative and keep his mind sharp. On the other hand, too much reliance on or indulgence in the Internet will certainly have an impact on our normal life and work. For instance, indulging in social network online may corrode peoples’ social skills. To be specific, they may feel lost when talking with people face-to-face, which may affect their normal relationship with family members and friends. What’s worse, sitting in front of a computer all day long means little outdoor activities, which may damage one’s health.
In conclusion, while enjoying all the benefits the virtual world has brought to us, indoorsy people should also step out of their home and engage themselves in the real world.

The Irresistible Trend of Online Newspaper
With the advent of information technology, the traditional media are pushed to the corner and are struggling to survive. Surprisingly, not all people are hailing the birth of online version news. Some people believe that traditional printed newspaper is irreplaceable since a large number of people still have no access to the Internet. However, others believe that the demise of printed version is at hand. Being faster and more convenient, cell phones and personal computers have led us to a paper-free lifestyle.
As far as I am concerned, it is irresistible that the printed newspaper will demise while the online newspaper will prosper. As the modern life picks up speed, news is reported at every turn. News is no longer new when printed on paper. While the printing process of traditional newspaper takes hours, and its distribution may take even longer time, the electronic transmission of news on the Internet may only take a couple of seconds, even including videos and audios. Besides, young people, the largest number of consumers, prefer to read news via cell phone or laptop. By these devices, users can share and comment on the news, which enables them to enrich their knowledge and mind in a short time.
In conclusion, I firmly hold the idea that the online newspaper will dominate the market in the future and the printed newspaper will be displayed in the museum representing a period of history.

Curbing the Craze for Government Posts
Our society is experiencing a craze for the Civil Servant Exam in recent years, which makes becoming a civil servant a popular mindset in society. Two opposite voices emerge, providing different views on career planning. Some think the government post should be pursued, for it provides an appealing job with stability, fine income, secure welfare yet relatively moderate workload. Others are against the zealous pursuit of government posts because it is not as favorable as it was before.
As far as I am concerned, university graduates should not pursue government posts zealously. Firstly, career planning should be based on one’s ambition and specialty rather than some short-sighted interests like the stability of a job. Graduates are young; they are in a crucial period of striving for a better future. And the government also needs loyal and responsible employees instead of those who only seek for self-interests. Secondly, stable as it is, the government post lacks creativity and freshness. Besides, some positions have less mobility and prospect of promotion, and the salary is on the average level, not so encouraging compared with that in some private sectors. Thirdly, the conception of equating a government post with success is apt to mislead graduates to choose government positions even irrelevant to their majors, causing the waste of human resources.
In conclusion, university graduates should pursue the government posts in a proper manner. The stability and welfare of a job are important, but they should not be the only elements we take into account.

Should Passengers Eat and Drink on Subways?
In recent years, eating and drinking on subways has been found more and more common, which has triggered many problems. Thus, some cities forbid passengers doing this and violators will be fined. Along with this new regulation comes a raging debate where two opposite attitudes have been shown. Some believe that eating and drinking doesn’t have direct relation to the safety of the subway operation and does not violate any laws and regulations. Others want to curb this behavior so as to make the public environment clean and tidy.
As far as I am concerned, eating and drinking on the subway is indeed not a proper behavior, but it is also not reasonable to deprive citizens of that right. On the one hand, eating and drinking on the subway should be discouraged. The government should attach more importance to educating citizens and appeal for cultivated and eco-friendly behavior on public transportation. Announcement and posters could be used to encourage people to create a better environment. On the other hand, it is every citizen’s legal right to eat and no one can deprive them of that. With regard to the pregnant, the elderly, the sick and the weak, the government can allocate special room for them to eat and drink inside the subway.
In conclusion, the behavior of eating and drinking on subways should be discouraged, but the right of certain people should be protected.
